About Us

Originally a subsidiary of Computer Library Systems, Inc., Interaction Systems, Inc. (ISI) was formed in the late 1970's to address the need for an easy and ready to use input device to make the advantages of newly computerized library services available to a wide base of customers.

The capacitive touch system that resulted not only proved to be a durable, faster, more user friendly alternative to keyboard input but also provided software developers a new way to design and navigate their applications.

From the early needs of the automated libraries, the use of touchscreens followed the expansion of computer automation into countless industries. Today ISI supplies its products to systems integrators and OEM's serving the point of sale, gaming, kiosk, industrial control, financial services, education and training markets to name just a few.

Since its founding as an independent company in 1980, Interaction Systems has kept pace starting with the first software programmable controller, numerous patented touch product designs, and incorporation of durable and optical enhancing sensor coatings. The originator of all its technologies, ISI continues to provide unique design assistance and product customizations drawing on its industry leading twenty plus years of experience in capacitive technology.

Interaction Systems is a privately held corporation supplying both domestic and international markets from its headquarters in Woburn, Massachusetts. For more information contact ISI.
